Collaborative for Evidence-Based Medicines: Putting Patient Safety First ("CEBM" or "the Collaborative") is a national provider-led organization advancing evidence-based medicines, safe compounding, and stronger oversight and accountability to protect patients. CEBM brings together providers, patient advocates, academics, consumer groups, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to advance our patient safety mission.

The Collaborative recognizes that compounding plays an essential role in patient care, but it must be performed within strict safety, quality, and legal parameters. Bad actors are exploiting gaps in law, enforcement, and oversight to mass-produce and sell illegal, untested, and unapproved products at unprecedented scale, putting patients at risk and eroding confidence in the U.S. drug supply. We unite a diverse group of stakeholders — including healthcare professionals, patient advocates, consumer groups, manufacturers, and academics — around this shared mission.

But mass-producing unproven drugs and marketing them directly to consumers under the guise of personalization is not compounding, it is exploitation. Our Collaborative exists to draw that line clearly, support better enforcement of existing laws, and ensure that every patient in America can trust the medicines they receive."
